Making Space: Virtual Creative Support Group
Making Space is a weekly support group for adults who are looking for a place to slow down, reflect, and feel a little less alone.
This group is designed for people who may be carrying stress, burnout, overwhelm, identity questions, or emotional heaviness and want support in a thoughtful, creative, and affirming space. The group meets every Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The group fee is $25/session.
It is facilitated by Emily Michalski, a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.
You do not need to be “good at art” or have any prior experience. Creative activities may be included as a way to support reflection and expression, but participation is always welcome at your own pace. Each group session is intended to offer structure, emotional support, and space for honest connection. Sessions may include check-ins, guided reflection, creative prompts, discussion, and optional sharing.
To help create a space that feels safe and respectful for everyone, group members are expected to attend consistently and arrive on time when possible, treat other group members with respect, honor confidentiality and privacy by not sharing other members’ personal information or stories outside the group, share from your own experience and allow space for others to do the same, and avoid discriminatory, or disrespectful language. Please note that confidentiality is expected, but cannot be absolutely guaranteed in any group setting. Because the group experience depends on consistent participation, registering means you are intending to attend regularly.
If you need to miss a session, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice when possible. Missed sessions or late cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will not be refunded. Repeated absences may affect your ability to remain in the group, since consistency helps support the experience for everyone.
This group is supportive, but it is not a substitute for emergency or crisis care. If you are in immediate crisis, please call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.
